灯白社 announced on 28 August that it was strengthening its overseas development of Japanese IP and expanding its target markets to 8 countries and regions: the United States, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. Through collaboration with local partners, the company said it would pursue initiatives centered on product sales and pop-up events to bring Japanese IP to fans overseas.
The company is a global accelerator focused on planning, promotion, merchandising and content development. Starting with illustrators and independent VTubers, it works with rights holders, publishers and distributors to develop creative works while retaining the rights, with the aim of realizing a creator economy.
The company has so far worked with retail stores and distribution partners in each country to develop products tailored to the needs of each market. Announcements regarding its overseas expansion have been made in stages: operations in 4 regions were announced in December 2025, followed by Taiwan in April 2026 and the United States in June 2026.
