DeNA hit 5 solo home runs in the game to rout Chunichi. Encarnacion hit home runs in 2 consecutive at-bats, including a go-ahead shot in the fourth inning, giving DeNA control of the offense.
In the ninth inning, Maki (牧) hit his 20th home run, his second of the day, to add further to the score. Azuma (東) pitched well, limiting Chunichi to 1 run over 8 innings to record his ninth win.
Chunichi struggled both at the plate and on the mound and was unable to stop DeNA's momentum. This was the only factor involved in the flow of the game, while the contributions of the other players on both teams were limited.
With this victory, DeNA added another win, and the connectivity of the lineup centered around Encarnacion stood out as a result.
