Sumitomo Heavy Industries Material Solutions announced that it had established a new company in Singapore. The aim is to strengthen its service network in Asia and respond to demand in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment sector.
Sumitomo Heavy Industries Material Solutions, a Sumitomo Heavy Industries subsidiary engaged in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, announced that it had established a new company in Singapore. The aim is to strengthen its service network in Asia. Against a backdrop of increasingly active semiconductor investment in Southeast and South Asia, the company plans to enhance its regional presence. It has already provided sales and technical support to regional customers from Japan, but the new company will enable a faster response. It will strengthen cooperation with other locations and establish a structure capable of responding to local customer needs.
The company is engaged in ion implantation and laser annealing equipment, and support for customers in the region had previously been provided mainly from Japan. With the establishment of the new company, it will create a direct local support structure and respond more quickly to customer needs.
