Teno. Holdings decided that ownership of its small-amount and short-term insurance subsidiary, Safety Japan Risk Management, would change from Teno. Holdings to Seed Corporation, as it seeks to concentrate management resources on its core businesses.
Teno. Holdings will transfer Safety Japan Risk Management, which operates a small-amount and short-term insurance business in Osaka. It determined that synergies between the insurance business and its core childcare and nursing-care support businesses would be difficult to achieve going forward.
The transferee is Seed Corporation of Fukuoka, which operates emergency services for tenant troubles and call-centre businesses. Safety Japan Risk Management, the company being transferred, had ordinary revenue of approximately ¥1.24 billion, ordinary profit of approximately ¥9.61 million and net assets of approximately ¥226 million for the fiscal year ended March 2026.
The transfer price is ¥500 million. The transfer covers all shares of Safety Japan Risk Management, with the scheduled transfer date set for 1 December 2026.
As a result of this decision, Teno. Holdings aims to strengthen its core businesses and redeploy resources without eliminating the insurance business’s sales or resources.
