A sightseeing tour using the license-free SCOO electric mobility vehicle will tour Gifu in partnership with Gifu City from 29 October to 28 November 2026. Special pricing limited to customers collecting the vehicle from the company will also be offered.
The SCOO series comprises the seated SCOO X and standing SCOO XT, neither of which requires a driver’s license or vehicle registration. With a top speed of 5.5km/h, the vehicles are intended for sidewalk use. A shared loop-style handle enables one-handed forward and reverse operation. The design prioritizes stability and visibility for different body types and is intended for uses including shopping, sightseeing and movement within facilities.
The sightseeing tour, conducted in partnership with Gifu City, departs from Gifu Park and visits natural and historical sites around the Nagara River. A tour guide will accompany participants, who will visit Gifu landmarks including the Nagara River Ukai Museum and Kawaramachi. Tours will be held on Thursdays and Saturdays during the period and will last approximately 2.5 hours.
