At its FY2026 Q2 earnings briefing, 競国 reported consolidated Q2 revenue of NT$1.4 billion, up 40% from the previous period, and a return to positive gross profit. EPS was NT$1.4, while falling gold prices supported an improvement in gross margin. Growth in the second half is expected to be concentrated in memory module substrates and high-speed transmission products.
競国 held an earnings briefing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, reporting consolidated revenue of NT$1.40 billion for FY2026 Q2, up 40% year on year. Net profit after tax was NT$217 million and EPS was NT$1.4, marking a return to profitability from the previous quarter’s loss. Gross profit was NT$143 million, an improvement from the negative figure recorded in the same period of the previous year.
The company concluded that “second-quarter performance is beginning to recover its former earning power.” EPS turned positive this quarter, compared with negative EPS of NT$0.4 in the same quarter of the previous year. For the first half, revenue was NT$2.40 billion, operating loss was NT$194 million, net profit after tax was NT$50 million and EPS was NT$0.32. Although these figures improved from the same period of the previous year, the company acknowledged that a full recovery had not yet been achieved.
Growth this quarter was led by two product lines: memory module substrates and high-speed transmission products. Memory module substrates generated approximately NT$400 million in additional revenue in the first half, with continued demand from AI and data centers contributing to growth. High-speed transmission products are being expanded as a new business and are supplied to FIT, a subsidiary of Hon Hai.
Lower gold costs contributed to the improvement in gross margin. Meanwhile, foreign exchange losses were substantial in the second quarter due to the appreciation of the renminbi, resulting in cumulative losses of NT$80 million for the first half. Gains on short-term investments and interest income offset these losses, resulting in positive non-operating income and expenses and supporting net profit after tax.
