A new service, “Mascot Figures,” has been launched to turn mascots of companies, local governments and organizations into 3D figures, starting with a single unit. The figures can be used for display installations, PR, anniversary gifts, and the prototyping and sale of merchandise.
3D data is created from photographs of mascot costumes or illustrations, so customers do not need to prepare a 3D model. Sending photographs from multiple angles enables more accurate reproduction, capturing the character's distinctive features not only from the front but also from the side and rear.
The standard sizes are approximately 10 cm and 15 cm tall. Initial production includes the 3D data creation fee and the production cost for 1 figure. Additional production is also available depending on the intended use and quantity.
Potential applications include store displays, event PR, and the prototyping and sale of exhibition items and merchandise. The service is also presented for on-demand product development, prize-draw campaigns and pop-up events at physical stores.
The service overview lists the launch date, submission data requirements, standard sizes, minimum order quantity, main applications and official URL.
