兼松ケミカル newly obtained the international ISCC EU certification for sustainable products at its Osaka Branch. This enables the company to handle biofuels and bio-based raw materials, and it is expected to continue ensuring proper management based on the latest requirements and preventing double counting.
兼松ケミカル announced that it had obtained ISCC EU certification, an international certification scheme, at its Osaka Branch. ISCC EU certification is a product certification based on the raw material characteristics allocated under the mass-balance approach, ensuring sustainability, traceability, and proper management across the supply chain.
The certification enables the company to handle biofuels and bio-based raw materials that comply with ISCC EU certification. The company stated that it will continue to comply with the latest ISCC requirements and meet the requirements of ISCC EU, while maintaining appropriate management, including avoiding double counting within other sustainability certifications and the scope of ISCC EU certification.
兼松ケミカル previously obtained ISCC PLUS certification at its Tokyo Head Office in April 2025. With the acquisition of ISCC EU certification, the company plans to further strengthen its framework for handling sustainable raw materials and products and respond to customers’ diverse needs.
