Arsenal have signed Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle on a permanent transfer. The four-year contract runs through the end of June 2026, while the £75 million transfer fee makes him the club’s second-largest signing ever.
Arsenal announced on the 8th that they had signed Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães on a permanent transfer. The club finally secured the opportunity to acquire Guimarães, whom they had kept on their shortlist of transfer targets for several months.
According to UK media outlet Sky Sports, the contract runs for four years through the end of June 2030, while the transfer fee is reportedly £75 million (approximately ¥15.9 billion). This makes the deal the second-largest in Arsenal’s history, behind the £100 million signing of Declan Rice.
Upon joining, Guimarães issued the following statement: “This step was very difficult for me because Newcastle is a club that means a great deal to me. But I wanted to experience something new. I’m ready for a new challenge.”
