This morning, a series of companies including Dainichiseika Chemical, HENNGE and Sony Group raised their first-half ordinary profit forecasts or record-profit outlooks, drawing attention to the future performance of multiple stocks.
Many of the companies announced today made substantial upward revisions to first-half ordinary profit or raised their record-profit forecasts for this fiscal year. Dainichiseika Chemical raised its first-half ordinary profit forecast 42% and also increased its full-year forecast. HENNGE raised its ordinary profit forecast for this fiscal year 20%, expects a record high for the fifth consecutive period and indicated a ¥1 dividend increase. Sony Group raised its final profit forecast for this fiscal year 10% and added to its record-profit outlook.
Many other companies, including Gunze, Toray, Tokalō, Seiko Epson and NIPPO, also announced upward revisions, dividend increases or share buybacks. A notable trend is the implementation of share buybacks capped at a certain percentage of shares outstanding. These developments have created a period marked by a series of individual earnings surprises.
