プリモグローバルホールディングス conducted environmental conservation activities along the Yodo River in Osaka Prefecture on 6 October as part of its cross-company CSR program, the “PRIMO RING PROJECT.” With the cooperation of the nonprofit organization Osaka Umi Sakura, this was the second event held following last year’s program.
In the morning, participants collected litter and worked to recover large pieces of waste and microplastics while receiving explanations about the history and ecosystem of the Yodo River. In the afternoon, they attended a lecture on marine litter and microplastics and experienced upcycling by making sacoche bags from fabric scraps.
The company’s CSR activities were launched in 2009 and are conducted across 4 areas: customers, products, the workplace, the community and the environment. In the environmental conservation area, the company has undertaken forest conservation activities on Mount Fuji, cleanup activities at all stores, the introduction of business cards made from LIMEX material, energy-saving measures in its offices, and the collection and donation of used clothing.
