矢作建設工業 announced its results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 (April-June 2026). Revenue declined year on year, while net income attributable to owners of the parent increased by double digits. The company also announced upward revisions to its full-year earnings forecasts and an increase in its annual dividend.
矢作建設工業 reported first-quarter revenue of ¥31.596 billion, down 23.2% year on year, while operating profit and ordinary profit both declined. The decrease in revenue was attributed to the completion of peak construction activity on large-scale projects in the year-earlier period. Quarterly net income, however, rose 15.3% year on year to ¥2.953 billion.
For the full year, the company revised its forecasts upward to revenue of ¥150.000 billion, operating profit of ¥9.500 billion, ordinary profit of ¥9.380 billion and net income attributable to owners of the parent of ¥9.300 billion. It also forecast an annual dividend of ¥110.00 per share, comprising interim and year-end dividends of ¥55.00 each.
The outlook remains subject to the continued impact of trends in material prices and labor shortages. Meanwhile, steady public investment and progress on large-scale projects are expected to support an improvement in profitability.
