東洋水産 held a Parent-Child Company Event for employees' families at its Shinagawa TS Building headquarters, Kanto Plant and YUTAKA FOODS CORPORATION, providing an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the workplace and manufacturing. The event included tours of the rooftop and plant, tsuyu tasting and an experience making original cup noodles.
東洋水産 simultaneously held a Parent-Child Company Event for employees' families at 3 locations: the Shinagawa TS Building headquarters, Kanto Plant and YUTAKA FOODS CORPORATION. The event has been held for 23 years, with the number of participants varying by location.
At the Shinagawa TS Building headquarters, 21 groups comprising 56 people took part. Participants received explanations of the operations of each department and the company's products, while parents and children also worked through quiz-style activities together. They tasted 4 varieties of tsuyu from the instant cup noodle product Red Fox Udon to experience the differences in flavour, then enjoyed making original cup noodles with their preferred ingredients and tsuyu.
At the Kanto Plant, 5 groups comprising 24 people took part. They toured the production line for Green Tanuki Tempura Soba, learned about food education through biotope observation and attended the Dashi Secrets workshop.
At YUTAKA FOODS CORPORATION, 8 groups comprising 19 people took part and toured the production line for the chilled noodle product Maruchan Yakisoba. After a hands-on production-process experience upon entry, participants tasted yakisoba sauce and okonomi sauce, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
The initiative provided employees' families with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of and affinity for the company, its work and its products. 東洋水産 indicated that it will continue aiming to bring smiles under the group's slogan.
