AUTOBACS SEVEN donated 5 kei cars to the Japan Carsharing Association to support victims of the August 2026 Chiba torrential-rain disaster. It continues initiatives centered on support for daily life during disasters and the use of vehicles.
On 19 September, AUTOBACS SEVEN donated 5 kei cars to the Japan Carsharing Association to support victims of the Chiba torrential-rain disaster that occurred in August 2026. The Japan Carsharing Association is a nonprofit organization that operates a system for lending vehicles free of charge to disaster victims.
Based on the idea of using vehicles to help rebuild daily life in disaster-affected areas, the company also provides free inspections and maintenance for loan vehicles at AUTOBACS Group stores nationwide. It has continued donating vehicles during normal times since fiscal 2023, most recently donating 8 vehicles in July 2026.
The company is developing a system that enables rapid responses during disasters and participates in the Mobility Resilience Alliance, for which the Japan Carsharing Association serves as secretariat. The alliance is a disaster-support network through which companies and local governments work together to deliver vehicles to affected areas.
AUTOBACS SEVEN says it will continue providing vehicle support to help resolve environmental and social issues under its purpose of achieving safe transportation and enriched lives for society.
