エコートレーディング revised down its cumulative second-quarter operating profit forecast, but rebounded after selling subsided following the opening.
エコートレーディング revised down its earnings forecast for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2027 after the close on the 5th. The new consolidated operating profit forecast was cut from ¥555 million to ¥330 million, representing an expected decline of approximately 51.3% year on year.
Revenue is expected to reach ¥55.064 billion, exceeding the previous forecast. However, the company was unable to fully pass higher procurement and logistics costs on to selling prices, and the resulting decline in gross profit margin weighed on operating profit.
In recent market trading, the stock closed at ¥834 on the 5th, up ¥8 from the previous day. After opening lower than the previous day’s close, it recovered once selling subsided. The market is now focused on future earnings trends and the extent to which higher costs can be passed on.
