OPTiM CORPORATION's drone agricultural chemical spraying AX service, the Pinpoint Time Spraying Service, covered approximately 45,000 ha in FY2026, an expansion of about 1.4 times the previous fiscal year. The company also announced on the same day that applications for FY2027 had opened and that it was recruiting sales partners and drone pilots while strengthening its operating structure.
OPTiM CORPORATION announced that the spraying area for its drone agricultural chemical spraying AX service, the Pinpoint Time Spraying Service, is expected to reach approximately 45,000 ha in FY2026, an increase of about 1.4 times from the previous fiscal year. Approximately 20,000 growers have applied to participate in joint pest control across multiple prefectures, and spraying is expected to be completed across approximately 167,200 fields.
Against a backdrop of the importance of joint pest control and increasing difficulty securing personnel to carry out the work, OPTiM CORPORATION strengthened its structure for providing an integrated range of services, including digital map creation, application management, pilot arrangements, progress management and post-spraying aggregation. In FY2026, the company conducted pilot productivity assessments, allocated fields to those responsible and provided training for on-site supervisors, while adding functions that enable flexible responses to customer-side changes.
Key upgrades include expanded self-service functionality, smartphone support and stable operation, strengthened personnel and structures for field operations, and the use of patented technology to optimise the allocation of schedules and work hours. The patented technology includes pilot productivity assessment (Patent No. 7858249), determination of fields and routes according to productivity (Patent No. 7755913), allocation of schedules and work hours (Patent No. 7802429), and prediction of completion times and adjustment based on actual results (Patent No. 7862914), supporting the overall spraying process.
Applications for FY2027 are now open. The company is also accepting consultations on spraying materials other than agricultural chemicals from pest control cooperatives, agricultural cooperatives, local governments and grower organisations that operate joint pest control programmes. It is also recruiting sales partners and drone pilots, and plans to further digitalise digital map creation and the preparation, distribution and aggregation of application forms.
