Floor hockey is one of the official sports of Special Olympics. Each team consists of 11 to 16 players, who use sticks to maneuver a puck with a 20-centimeter diameter hole and compete to score. The rules are designed so that everyone takes part, meaning no one ends the game on the bench.
The tournament will be held for the 21st time, with 17 teams from across Japan coming together. Four teams from the FP Corporation Group will also participate and are scheduled to compete in a series of closely contested matches.
