Porsche has sold its entire stake in Bugatti Rimac, and Rimac founder Mate Rimac (マテ・リマック) will become Bugatti's new president. In summary, the completion of the transaction and changes to the management structure were announced at the same time.
On 9 September 2026, Porsche AG completed the sale of its shares in Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Group to a consortium after obtaining regulatory approval. Porsche will receive approximately €1 billion in sale proceeds, of which €250 million will be allocated to funding pension liabilities.
A consortium led by HOF Capital will head the new shareholder group, with institutional investors from the United States and Europe, including Blue Five Capital, the largest investor, participating. Porsche will sever its financial ties, while Bugatti Rimac will continue pursuing its long-term strategy under the new shareholder structure.
