Against the backdrop of data silos and legacy-system issues at Japanese companies, Salesforce’s Japanese subsidiary will fully roll out an FDE partner network to accelerate on-site AI adoption. Accenture is involved as an initial partner, with operations scheduled to begin in June 2026.
Salesforce’s Japan entity has cited challenges unique to Japanese companies, such as data silos and delays in standardising formats, and pointed to the difficulty of delivering AI’s investment benefits on the front line.
To overcome these challenges, Salesforce will fully roll out its FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer) partner network from June 2026. FDE is a framework under which engineers from partner companies directly support the implementation of AI functions at the operational level.
Accenture is participating as one of the initial partners. It has a track record of supporting implementation and use, particularly for large enterprises with annual revenue exceeding ¥1 trillion, by training and deploying large numbers of highly skilled engineers and consultants.
Through its partners, Salesforce aims to address Japanese companies’ data quality and organisational challenges and scale the implementation of AI at the operational level.
