そごう・西武 will implement organizational changes effective 1 October. Chairman Taguchi Hiroto (田口広人) will leave the board, Teraoka Yasuhiro (寺岡泰博) will leave his position as manager of the Seibu Ikebukuro flagship store, and Davide Sessa (ダヴィデ・セシア) is scheduled to remain as a part-time director.

As part of the main personnel changes, Chairman Taguchi Hiroto (田口広人) will leave the board, while Teraoka Yasuhiro (寺岡泰博) will leave his position as manager of the Seibu Ikebukuro flagship store. Davide Sessa (ダヴィデ・セシア) will also leave his position as executive vice president and remain with the company as a part-time director.
Following Chairman Taguchi’s departure from the board, the company is expected to transition to a new board structure, as part of the ongoing process surrounding the succession of Fortress-led management. Kobayashi Kiyoshi (小林清) is scheduled to become manager of the Seibu Ikebukuro flagship store, having previously served as manager of the Seibu Shibuya store.
The flagship store’s full renovation was delayed during the current fiscal year, but the grand reopening is planned for 2026. The organizational restructuring includes greater discretion over deputy manager appointments at core stores, a reorganization of the sales structure in the corporate sales division, and the creation of a new role responsible for developing customers.
