360Channel announced that it had planned and produced a new boat racing information character, Sakimai Ichika (先舞 一華, Sakimai Ichika), and installed her at SIX WAKE ROPPONGI. Developed as an original character, she is intended to improve visitor satisfaction and attract new fans.
The character was designed by the popular illustrator lack. All visual elements were newly drawn, and the company states that image-generation AI was not used during the 3D and CG production process. Conversational AI is used to interact with visitors, while the company has established data design and operating structures that take intellectual property into account.
The character is presented as a rookie announcer and will handle not only boat racing information and player introductions, but also everyday conversation and commemorative photography. The company plans to provide an intuitive guidance experience for everyone from beginners to dedicated fans.
The project combines expertise in UI/UX, character design and gamification developed through XR and metaverse development, aiming to balance interactive experiences with consideration for intellectual property.
