Takara Tomy raised its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. It raised its revenue forecast to ¥300 billion and its operating profit forecast to ¥30 billion, with further growth in sales to Kidults expected to provide a tailwind.
Takara Tomy raised its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Based on results through the cumulative second quarter, it raised its previous forecasts for revenue from ¥285 billion to ¥300 billion and for operating profit from ¥26 billion to ¥30 billion. It also raised its ordinary profit forecast from ¥26 billion to ¥30 billion and its net profit forecast from ¥18 billion to ¥20 billion.
The main factor behind the upward revision was further growth in sales of products targeting Kidults. Sales of products featuring popular characters remained solid at Kiddy Land stores in Japan, while sales of Gacha, BEYBLADE X, Duel Masters and Tomica products expanded. In Asia, the expansion of BEYBLADE X and Tomica brand stores contributed to growth. The impact of tariff refunds in the first quarter also contributed to improved margins.
Following the upward revision, the full-year outlook for revenue and each profit item is expected to remain favorable. Key points to watch include sales trends for Kidults products and growth in the Asian market.
