At Umeda Tsutaya Books in Osaka, Rokid previewed its AI glasses, the Rokid Ai Glasses Style, ahead of their release in Japan on 15 September. The event was the Osaka stop of the “Rokid Glasses ‘See Japan’ Tour 2026” and provided an opportunity to share the company’s plans for the domestic rollout of its AI glasses, as well as new applications in daily life and tourism. Demonstrations, hands-on experiences and examples of user applications were presented at the venue, with displays designed to help visitors imagine how the glasses could be used in everyday situations.
The nationwide tour, which connects 5 cities, was described as an initiative linking AI glasses with local lifestyles, tourism and industries, and showcasing their practical potential through use cases specific to each region. At the Osaka venue, particular emphasis was placed on co-creating applications with participants for inbound customer service, multilingual support and exploring cities on foot.
The event presented application examples from 5 users, who discussed practical uses in daily life, including translation, information searches and translating written text while traveling overseas. Awards from a domestic hackathon were also presented, and the ROKID CREATOR PROGRAM was introduced. The company indicated that it would continue fostering new applications through collaboration between creators and developers. In addition, a special program offered participants the opportunity to try the glasses before their release.
