BS TV Tokyo’s economic news program “Nikkei NEXT” is scheduled to air in the time slot after 23:54 on Friday, 4 September 2026. Produced in cooperation with companies across the Nikkei Group, the program is designed to deliver the truth behind the news in a detailed yet accessible manner.
The program will feature main anchor Yagi Hitomi (八木ひとみ), commentator Otsuka Setsuo (大塚節雄), a Nikkei editorial board member, and anchors Trauden Naomi (トラウデン直美) and Shimada Hirohisa (島田弘久), a TV Tokyo announcer. Editors and reporters from Nikkei and the Nikkei Group will also provide news commentary.
