カッパ・クリエイト reported revenue of ¥17.751 billion, an operating loss of ¥777 million and a quarterly net loss of ¥765 million for the April-June 2026 quarter, moving from a profit to a loss. Revenue in its core conveyor-belt sushi business was approximately ¥14.533 billion, essentially unchanged from the same period a year earlier, while the segment loss widened to ¥647 million.

Revenue in the delicatessen business also declined 4.2% year on year to ¥3.217 billion, and the segment loss widened to ¥76 million. The company cited persistently high raw material and energy prices, higher labor costs due to labor shortages, and increasingly cost-conscious consumer behavior as factors.

Profitability had already deteriorated markedly in the previous fiscal year. The full-year forecast called for higher revenue and profit, including revenue of ¥79.840 billion and operating profit of ¥1.366 billion, but as of the first quarter the company was visibly behind plan. The dividend remains undecided.

The shareholder benefit grants "shareholder benefit points" to holders of 100 or more shares, with entitlement determined as of the end of September. The points can be used at restaurants operated by the Colowide Group, although some business formats are excluded. Details are also provided on the allocation of points based on the number of shares held, validity periods, and the period during which points can be exchanged for selected products.

For the shareholder benefit based on the end-September record date, the schedule is as follows: 28 September is the last day to buy shares with entitlement, 29 September is the ex-entitlement date, and 30 September is the entitlement date. Shareholders may receive the benefit twice a year regardless of whether there is a participating restaurant nearby.
