Aidem Global of Indonesia has entered into a three-party memorandum of cooperation with TransJakarta, the state-owned bus company under the Jakarta Special Capital Region Government of Indonesia, and local sending organization TMS Indonesia Perkasa, with the aim of training and accepting Indonesian workers seeking employment in Japan. The signing ceremony was held on 4 September 2026.
The memorandum establishes an integrated education and employment-support framework under which TransJakarta Academy will provide driver training, TMS will provide Japanese-language education, and Aidem will provide employment placement and retention support in Japan. The initiative aims to create an environment in which both host companies and foreign workers can work with confidence.
Japan faces a serious shortage of bus drivers, with the shortage of holders of large-vehicle Category 2 driving licenses identified as a challenge. Indonesia has a large number of Specified Skilled Workers, and the parties emphasized a policy of promoting the matching of demand for workers in Japan through public-private cooperation, while advancing transparent matching through the use of digital infrastructure.
Aidem Global’s placement record comprises 5,000 Specified Skilled Workers, 120 participants in Hanoi University of Science and Technology’s cooperative education program, and 212 interns. Going forward, it aims to promote the long-term retention of workers through local education and employment support in Japan.
