AGS Consulting, headquartered in Tokyo, and US-based Hotta Liesenberg Saito LLP (HLS) jointly acquired the shares of Thai accounting firm CaN International Advisory (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and began operating under the new structure on 1 October 2026. The move is described as advancing expansion into the Thai market by building on the foundation of the local office.
Thailand is positioned as ASTHOM partners' first overseas location, with the aim of strengthening support for Japanese companies expanding into ASEAN. The new company will provide accounting and bookkeeping, tax filing, management and financial consulting, M&A and business restructuring support, and assistance with withdrawals and liquidations.
The new company's profile is as follows: name, CaN International Advisory (Thailand) Co., Ltd.; scheduled future name change to ASTHOM Thailand Co., Ltd.; location, Thai Samut Building, Bangkok; representative, 虷澤 Atsushi (虷澤 篤志); start of operations, 1 October 2026; and business, multiple services including back-office support.
Going forward, Thailand will be positioned as the core hub for the ASEAN business. The company plans to expand local services and support Southeast Asian expansion by leveraging the ASTHOM partners network.
