Ahead of the Sapporo Kinen, Admire Terra worked on the turf course at Hakodate, sharpening his physique and action to suit the 2,000-meter race. His preparations for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe are now moving into full swing.
Admire Terra worked alone on the turf course at Hakodate Racecourse, moving his four legs briskly and galloping past in rhythm. Assistant trainer Iwasaki Takeshi (岩崎毅) said his action itself was as usual.
Although this will be his first race since the Tenno Sho (Spring), there are no concerns about the layoff, and the gray horse is in lean, trim condition with no excess fat. His connections emphasized, “Because it’s 2,000 meters, his physique and action are a little sharper than usual.”
He is scheduled to use this race as a prep for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe G1, targeting the 2,400-meter race at ParisLongchamp on 4 October. The plan is to build momentum in this summer racing highlight before heading to the world stage.
