Cybozu,Inc. announced a proposal for the use of Welpia Iyo, Iyo City’s urban comprehensive cultural facility. The company plans to use the pool in the southeastern part of Welpia Iyo as the site for a multipurpose arena and renovate and operate the existing facilities.
On 25 September, Cybozu,Inc. President Aono Yoshihisa (青野 慶久) announced the proposal at a briefing in Matsuyama City. With the aim of making the arena the home venue of the Ehime Orange Vikings, he expressed his intention to begin dialogue with local residents.
According to the proposal, the pool in the southeastern part of Welpia Iyo is currently envisioned for use as the site of a multipurpose arena. The proposal also sets out a policy of renovating and operating the existing facilities.
The concept indicates a direction for making Welpia Iyo, which is owned by Iyo City, the home venue of the Vikings, and emphasises a willingness to incorporate residents’ views going forward.
