AlbaLink formally entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement with Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, on promoting the distribution of vacant homes. Going forward, it plans to promote the circulation and use of properties with low liquidity by raising owners’ awareness and expanding their options.
AlbaLink, headquartered in Koto-ku, Tokyo, entered into a “Comprehensive Partnership Agreement on Promoting the Distribution of Vacant Homes” with Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, on 6 October 2026. Minamiuonuma City is known for its branded rice, hot springs and tourism resources, but has reportedly faced challenges from an increase in vacant homes and the handling of properties with unknown owners due to inheritance renunciation and other factors.
The agreement aims to use AlbaLink’s expertise in purchasing and renovating real estate and its nationwide network to resolve the vacant-home problem and preserve the living environment. The company indicated its intention to actively promote the market distribution and use of properties that are difficult to circulate, while also raising owners’ awareness.
The agreement primarily covers initiatives related to the distribution and use of vacant homes, as well as the implementation of matters deemed necessary in the future. The General Affairs Division of Minamiuonuma City Hall has been designated as the responsible department, and related information is expected to be posted on the city’s official website.
