Axelspace Holdings downwardly revised its consolidated net income forecast for the current fiscal year from a loss of ¥240 million to a loss of ¥3.65 billion. It also revised revenue from ¥9,000 million to ¥6,700 million and did not disclose an interim forecast.
After the market close on 6 October 2026, Axelspace Holdings announced revisions to its consolidated results forecast for the fiscal year ending May 2027. The loss outlook was substantially worse than the forecast disclosed previously, with the net loss forecast widening from ¥240 million to ¥3.65 billion.
Under the revised forecast, revenue was reduced from ¥9,000 million to ¥6,700 million, operating income was revised from -¥800 million to -¥2,300 million, ordinary income from -¥150 million to -¥1,700 million, and net income from -¥240 million to -¥3,650 million. Revised net income per share is -¥54.7.
The main reason for the revision was a malfunction involving the GRUS-3 small satellite operated by the AxelGlobe business. A permanent failure in the high-speed communications system was confirmed in some GRUS-3 units operated by a subsidiary. Accordingly, the company decided to record an impairment loss of ¥1,879 million as an extraordinary loss.
The company also announced that it had begun discussions with Pale Blue regarding an agreement to provide an in-orbit demonstration service, and received written notice concerning termination of the agreement. In light of this, it revised the full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending May 2027 announced on 14 July 2026. An interim earnings forecast has not been disclosed at this time.
