Orix's farm team resumed full-team practice for the first time in 4 days. All observed a moment of silence for catcher Shiyo Nogami, who died suddenly on 30 September.
Orix's farm team resumed full-team practice at Sugimoto Shoji Buffaloes Stadium in Maishima, Osaka, after 3 days. The players, who had continued individual practice from the same day, resumed team practice after 4 days following the announcement the previous day of the sudden death of catcher Shiyo Nogami (19).
At the resumption of practice, the players observed a moment of silence together with farm-team manager Naoyuki Kazaoka and other management and staff. The moment of silence was intended to show consideration for people connected with the team and the baseball world, and provided the players with time to mourn catcher Nogami rather than pray for his early recovery.
Catcher Nogami died suddenly on 30 September at the team's dormitory in Osaka. The team, which has continued individual practice, is reportedly planning to continue its activities while keeping catcher Nogami in mind.
