The full-year ordinary profit forecast was raised from the previous ¥19.3 billion to ¥21.1 billion, with the profit growth rate expanding from the previous 12.1% increase to a 12.1% increase. This further updated the company’s forecast for record profit for the 12th consecutive fiscal year.
At the same time, the company estimated second-half ordinary profit for October–March at ¥8.87 billion, down 5.9% from the same period of the previous fiscal year. The second half is expected to slow, in contrast to the strong second-quarter performance.
Ordinary profit for the latest 3-month period of the second quarter was ¥6.33 billion, while the operating margin on revenue rose to 26.8%. As a result, first-half results are expected to substantially exceed those of the same period of the previous year.
