リログループ reported a sharp increase in operating profit from its overseas assignment support business in the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, with North American real estate brokerage driving results. The full-year forecast was maintained, and the company also announced a share buyback as part of its capital policy.
リログループ reported consolidated revenue of ¥38,959 million, operating profit of ¥7,174 million, profit attributable to owners of the parent of ¥5,228 million and profit before tax of ¥7,519 million for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, representing year-on-year increases of 9.0%, 11.8%, 18.4% and 17.1%, respectively. The overseas assignment support business made a particularly strong contribution to profit, growing faster than revenue.
By segment, overseas assignment support recorded revenue of ¥5,217 million and operating profit of ¥1,120 million, both showing strong growth. Demand for outsourced visa processing also provided support. At リロ・リダック in North America, office brokerage and real estate brokerage remained at high levels, supported by demand from Japanese companies investing in U.S. assets. The underlying overseas assignment support business grew by more than 20%, and management indicated that demand is expected to continue for the next several years.
The rental property management business recorded revenue of ¥13,009 million and operating profit of ¥1,593 million, while the number of properties under management increased to 128,492. The company is expanding recurring revenue through M&A and plans to bring a rental property management company in Fukuoka into the group in the second quarter. The corporate housing management business recorded revenue of ¥9,047 million and operating profit of ¥1,982 million, while metrics including unoccupied-home management also continued to trend steadily.
In the employee benefits business, the number of members declined year on year to 7.35 million, but usage-related revenue increased. The company introduced the tenant-based e-commerce mall “RELO MALL” and the cafeteria-style employee benefits platform “カフェテリアPLUS+” to diversify its revenue structure. The tourism business saw revenue decline due to weather conditions and the temporary closure of some facilities, but secured higher profit through operational efficiencies driven by digital transformation.
