Nomura Real Estate Holdings conducted an office tour and a workshop on housing, together with a jointly developed program, for high school students supported by certified NPO Kidsdoor.
Nomura Real Estate Holdings held an office tour at its head office for 12 high school students using the learning safety-net program operated by certified NPO Kidsdoor under commission from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The tour provided an opportunity to consider work and careers through an office visit and interaction with employees.
The program included a workshop using the exploratory learning program “Creating an Ideal Lifestyle: Updating Your Home,” jointly developed by Nomura Real Estate and Mieta. Participants considered the diversity of housing and lifestyles while taking virtual tours of representative architectural projects using VR.
During the lunchtime discussion, participants and volunteer employees exchanged views on the students' future plans and the rewards of working. The office tour included the work areas and co-creation areas, giving participants an opportunity to experience the working environment at close hand.
The program was conducted as a joint development project with Mieta, with the aim of supporting career education for the next generation by applying knowledge from the real estate distribution business and digital technology.
