It was learned that Representative Director and Chairman Minami Keita (南恵太), 41, of Champion Curry in Nonoichi, will retire on the 30th. He will become a senior advisor effective 1 October, and only President Nakamura Yosuke (中村洋介), 46, will have representative authority. This will be the first time a member of the founding family has left the board, marking a move away from family management.
After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, with a degree in economics in 2009, Minami Keita (南恵太) worked for a Tokyo-based food-service company before joining Champion Curry in 2013. He became the company’s third-generation president in 2016. In 2021, the company appointed a director from outside the founding family for the first time, and in April this year it made Nakamura Yosuke (中村洋介) its first president from outside the founding family, further advancing the shift away from family management.
The company operates 5 directly managed stores and 22 franchise stores, mainly in Hokuriku. Its future management structure is expected to be stabilized with President Nakamura Yosuke (中村洋介) holding representative authority.
This will be the first time a member of the founding family has left the board, making the company’s efforts to move away from family management more pronounced.
