ロジザード has launched Bit Waybill, a common digital waybill using blockchain. It announced a system that assigns a common ID, the BWB number, to each shipment and enables cargo information to be linked and recorded among multiple companies.
Bit Waybill issues a BWB number for each shipment and records and manages its transport history from shipment through delivery under this common ID. Waybill information is treated as an NFT, maintaining the authenticity and uniqueness of data shared among multiple companies.
The system is designed around API integration, enabling information to be retrieved from and used by existing web applications such as WMS, TMS and delivery management systems. Its technology platform uses ThingsToken, a blockchain technology developed by PLAT'HOME for non-financial applications.
The companies aim to expand participation by shippers, transport operators and application vendors, and to build a platform that uses transport information accumulated under the common ID for joint transport, relay transport and other applications. The Bit Waybill business is expected to post an operating loss of ¥75 million in the fiscal year ending June 2027 as the company expands during the investment phase and accumulates use cases.
