True Data announced its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027. Net sales rose 19.4% year on year to ¥489 million, operating income increased 13.0% to ¥12 million, ordinary income fell 12.4% to ¥13 million, and quarterly net income declined 22.7% to ¥6 million. Contributions from its retail solutions and the expansion of its AI solutions supported performance.
The retail solutions business benefited from retail DX services for major retailers and AI solutions. In the solutions business for manufacturers, the number of contracted companies increased through collaboration with a leading domestic wholesaler, while sales in the retail media business grew through collaboration with a major advertising distribution company.
As a new initiative, True Data began providing a price simulation service for the Japanese market. In the retail media business, it also began integrating FreakOut's advertising solutions with purchase data. At the same time, profit growth remained modest as upfront costs increased for investment in personnel, new development of AI solutions, and operating and deployment expenses.
For its full-year forecast, True Data maintained its projected net sales of ¥2.20 billion, operating income of ¥80 million, ordinary income of ¥78 million, and net income of ¥63 million, with the year-on-year rates of change for each figure unchanged from the previous fiscal year.
