Meidensha agreed with Mitsubishi HC Capital and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance to build and commercialize a new operating model integrating AI-based remote monitoring of facilities, leasing and compensation. A PoC is planned to begin in selected industries from October 2026.
The 3 companies agreed to build a joint scheme for a new operating model integrating remote monitoring, leasing and compensation to address challenges in operating facilities such as factories. The scheme aims to provide early detection of equipment problems, visualization of failure risks, cost leveling and reductions in accident-response costs at the same time.
Under the scheme, Meidensha will provide continuous monitoring of facility conditions and visualization of operating and energy indicators using its AI-based remote monitoring service, REMOTIER. Mitsubishi HC Capital will provide a lease that consolidates equipment costs, maintenance and monitoring expenses, and insurance premiums. Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance will provide a new compensation model combining coverage, risk management and data utilization.
A PoC is scheduled to begin in selected industries in October 2026, with the scope to be expanded in stages based on customer feedback. The overall scheme is designed as a general-purpose model for horizontal expansion, aiming to reduce the burden of capital investment and the risk of downtime while improving the efficiency of environmental-indicator management.
