On 30 October 2026, Flight Solutions and Kaga Electronics began collaborating to promote identity verification using IC chips. myVerifist is scheduled to support NFC card readers other than Incredist Premium.
Flight Solutions and Kaga Electronics announced a collaboration in Japan's payment and identity verification sectors. Under the collaboration, Flight Solutions will provide identity verification services and technical support, while Kaga Electronics will handle the procurement and sales of devices. The companies will promote the adoption of IC chip-based identity verification.
myVerifist has traditionally used the Incredist Premium series of multipurpose payment devices as terminals for reading identity documents. The software is expected to be enhanced to support NFC card readers other than Incredist Premium, making it easier for businesses to select terminals suited to their applications.
The companies said they will support the smooth adoption of IC chip-based identity verification in anticipation of tighter requirements for in-person identity verification methods scheduled for April 2027. Greater flexibility in terminal configurations will enable businesses to select equipment suited to their applications.
As part of the initiative, Kaga Electronics is working to provide initial support for NFC card readers that can connect to an iPad via Bluetooth and will establish a supply system using its procurement and sales network.
