An interview on PERSOL HOLDINGS’ adoption of Loglass Workforce Planning has been published, detailing how Loglass helped refine its personnel cost budget and develop its first five-year plan.
The challenge of managing workforce and personnel cost plans for approximately 800 employees at the standalone holding company using increasingly complex spreadsheets was highlighted. Following the introduction of Loglass Workforce Planning, monthly forecasting became established and the budget review process advanced. Before its introduction, macros and formulas were difficult to read, and aggregation was time-consuming.
As a result of the implementation, the holding company’s human resources team reduced its aggregation work from more than approximately 10 hours per month to approximately 5 hours. By refining the logic for budgeting late-night work allowances, statutory welfare expenses, overtime and salary increases, the group restructured approximately ¥200 million of its annual budget across the company. It also formulated its first five-year personnel cost plan within the deadline, narrowing the gap between budget and actual results.
The case study links to the full case-study interview and cites Loglass features including named-person management, automated aggregation and allocation, and simulations of hiring, departures and transfers, illustrating one aspect of the group’s efforts to strengthen its human resources management functions.
The case study states that PERSOL HOLDINGS is working to strengthen human resources management across the group and has advanced coordination between finance and human resources by using Loglass Workforce Planning.
