SG Moving entered into a collaboration agreement with Ooi Town in Fukui Prefecture and Sumoto City in Hyogo Prefecture to strengthen cooperation in its logistics business. According to the announcement, the agreement concerns collaboration and cooperation and formalizes the relationship between the local governments and the service provider.
Under the agreement, residents can request a collection online or by telephone, after which the collection provider visits at the requested time. Items collected include large appliances such as televisions, refrigerators and washing machines, as well as smaller products such as microwave ovens, rice cookers, personal computers and hair dryers. Large appliances can also be removed from inside homes.
The collection service will be provided in partnership with Lynette Japan Recycling, expanding the SG Holdings group's logistics services, including the installation and transportation of large appliances. The number of local governments participating in the agreement is expected to reach 235 nationwide, covering approximately 15.61 million people.
