In the final game of the season at Belluna Dome, Rakuten overcame an early deficit to defeat Seibu. Rakuten built an early lead through a run-scoring single to center by outfielder Tatsumi Ryosuke (辰己涼介) and a solo home run by YG Yasuda, among others, and Tatsumi reached 1,000 career appearances in the game.
Starting pitcher Kishi Takayuki (岸孝之) threw 86 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 6 hits and 1 run to earn his fifth win of the season. He allowed Watanabe’s solo home run in the fifth inning but held firm in key situations thereafter to secure the win.
The victory ended Rakuten’s losing streak at 2 games and improved its record against Seibu this season. Tatsumi’s milestone appearance and Kishi’s record achievement were major highlights of the game.
