ファインモールド has announced 1/35-scale Short 12 cm Self-Propelled Gun and Type 97 Medium Tank Chi-Ha plastic model kits as new products scheduled to be displayed at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show. Vehicles from the Girls und Panzer series will also be added to the lineup.
As advance information on the All Japan Model & Hobby Show, ファインモールド has unveiled new products in its 1/35-scale Japanese Navy Military Series, the Short 12 cm Self-Propelled Gun, and its Japanese Army Military Series, the Type 97 Medium Tank [Chi-Ha]. The Short 12 cm Self-Propelled Gun recreates a vehicle intended for deployment by the Naval Land Forces, with newly tooled parts and decals included. The counterweight at the rear of the gun turret is also reproduced with a newly tooled part.
The Type 97 Medium Tank [Chi-Ha] models in 1/35 scale the most common version of the early/standard hull fitted with the 57 mm main gun. Its tracks are assembled from plastic parts and reproduced with a low part count, while the stowage at the rear of the hull is also recreated with newly tooled parts.
The new Girls und Panzer products introduced next are the Type 89 Medium Tank Ko used by the Duck Team and the Type 3 Medium Tank [Chi-Nu] used by the Anteater Team. Both sets include 4 easy-to-paint and easy-to-assemble plastic figures, newly tooled track parts, and crew figures for the Anteater Team.
