KITZ CORPORATION introduced FineReport, a low-code development tool for data visualization and digital transformation, together with 荷主バリューテクノロジー to address the challenges of paper-based record management at manufacturing sites and systems that differ by department. Since its introduction, 70 types of applications have been deployed, expanding its use to areas including inventory management, inspections, production results and traceability management. Information is collected at production sites using QR codes and shared in real time, confirming a reduction in the workload involved in recording operations.
Operations are being expanded to include overseas sites. At the Vietnam plant, 16 systems have been built using the multilingual version of FineReport. The company has established a system for sharing and using production-site data by linking it with iPads and QR readers, and is developing a common platform for deploying systems built in Japan at overseas sites. The benefits of implementation include reductions in transcription and aggregation work at production sites, cost savings through in-house development and higher development productivity. Cost savings on overseas projects are said to have reached ¥10 million.
Going forward, the company plans to standardize improvement measures accumulated at production sites and deploy them in Japan and overseas. It also plans to expand the use of an integrated platform, including SAP integration, and promote standardized operations at both Japanese and overseas sites.
Rather than offering a superficial account, the article clearly sets out the areas of application, benefits, deployment at overseas sites and plans for future expansion.
