Kagawa Prefectural Credit Cooperative donated ¥536,919 from the Shinkumi Peter Pan Card program to Tanuki, a child development support and after-school day-service facility operated by 香川県ファミリーハート. The funds were raised in partnership with Orient Corporation.
On 25 September, as part of its social contribution activities, Kagawa Prefectural Credit Cooperative donated funds from the Shinkumi Peter Pan Card program to Tanuki, a child development support and after-school day-service facility operated by 香川県ファミリーハート. The total donation was ¥536,919, and formed part of an ongoing donation program conducted through the Shikoku Credit Cooperative Association.
The donation is funded by an amount equivalent to 0.5% of card spending and is collected in partnership with Orient Corporation. The program supports the healthy development of children and children with intractable diseases, with donations continuing to be made to welfare and support organizations both within and outside the prefecture.
At the presentation ceremony, President Ukawa (右川) handed over a certificate of donation and expressed the hope that the funds would contribute to the development of the children. 香川県ファミリーハート, the donation recipient, indicated that it plans to use the funds for a new outdoor developmental support area on its premises, the Tanuki Learning Park.
Tanuki Learning Park is being developed not only to install play equipment but also to create an environment where children can learn about traffic safety, how to act during disasters and hazard prediction through play. Construction is under way, with completion targeted by the end of the year.
