MIURA CO., LTD. has begun accepting orders for the mercury-free WV-2AF UV-LED water sterilization system. With a maximum processing capacity of 2.5 m³/h, it achieves a 40% reduction in space requirements compared with the previous WV-5AF model, and uses Nichia UV-LEDs to further reduce its size.
MIURA CO., LTD., an industrial boiler manufacturer, began accepting orders for the new WV-2AF UV-LED system for water sterilization applications on 1 October 2026. The WV-2AF is designed for a processing flow rate of 2.5 m³/h and requires less space than the previous WV-5AF model.
The new WV-2AF uses UV-LEDs from Nichia Corporation. It is described as providing high sterilization performance by using LEDs in the UV-C range, with wavelengths between 100 and 400 nm. The system is highlighted as achieving a 40% reduction in space requirements compared with previous models.
With this addition, the WV series now comprises 4 models with maximum processing capacities of 2.5 m³/h, 5 m³/h, 10 m³/h and 25 m³/h, providing a lineup to meet water sterilization needs across a range of manufacturing settings, including the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, beverage, chemical, machinery and electronics industries.
MIURA CO., LTD. has indicated that it will continue developing products aimed at higher flow rates and expanded applications, contributing to the creation of a mercury-free society.
