TCL JAPAN ELECTRONICS has begun rolling out support for Gemini for Google TV on its Google TV televisions. The company has disclosed the eligible series and supported features, while also indicating plans to expand availability in the future.
TCL JAPAN ELECTRONICS announced that it has begun rolling out support for Google's AI assistant, Gemini for Google TV, on its Google TV televisions. With Gemini support, users can control the television and search for information through conversation, in addition to watching TV.
The introduction of Gemini for Google TV enables content recommendations tailored to users' preferences, searches and voice-based content discovery to be carried out naturally on the television. Users can also research topics of interest and obtain new information on the TV screen.
Alongside picture quality and large-screen technology, the company is developing products that make the full television experience, from searching and selecting to watching and researching, more convenient. Under its current brand campaign, it will propose new AI-powered television experiences.
For the 2026 models, the X11L, C8L and C7L in the SQD-Mini LED lineup, the RM7L in the RBG-Mini LED lineup, the A400 Pro and A400M in the 4K QD-Mini LED lineup, and the A400 series of 4K QLED televisions are listed as eligible for Gemini for Google TV support.
