Nihon L’Oréal announced that Philippe Archambault would become its new president effective 1 November. The change is from former president Chariton to Archambault, as the company reorganizes growth in the Japanese market and the global expansion of its brands from its global operations.
Nihon L’Oréal, the Japanese subsidiary of major French cosmetics company L’Oréal, announced on 30 October that Philippe Archambault would become its representative director and president for the Japanese market effective 1 November. Archambault had been general manager of the North Asia region for L’Oréal Luxe. With the new president taking office, the company plans to pursue its growth strategy in the Japanese market and the global expansion of brands originating in Japan.
Archambault began his luxury beauty career in the United States in 1995 and joined the L’Oréal Group in 1999. After working in brand direction for the Asia-Pacific travel retail business and at the group’s Paris headquarters, he served as head of L’Oréal Luxe in Japan from 2014 and as general manager of the North Asia region from 2021.
