The Bolero A30, launched by Autech in 2016 to commemorate its 30th anniversary, was introduced as a 30-unit limited-edition model. The article presents its full specifications, dedicated tuning details, and driving-performance characteristics.
The Bolero A30 is a 30-unit limited-edition special model developed by Autech based on the K13 March. More than 600 people applied, resulting in odds of more than 20 to 1. As a derivative model, it features flared front and rear fenders and a specially appointed interior. Its overall length was expanded substantially to 3865 mm and its overall width to 1810 mm.
The engine is a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated HR16DE. Dedicated tuning increased maximum output to 150 ps and maximum torque to 16.3 kgm. Intake and exhaust tuning and a dedicated ECU produced a 40 ps increase from the naturally aspirated engine, paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission.
To improve rigidity around the rear, the body uses a rear floor modified for 4WD, with suspension stays and a tail crossbar added. The suspension and brakes also received dedicated design work, including forged wheels, 205/45R16 tires, larger front brake discs, and conversion to rear disc brakes.
The interior features dedicated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and dedicated interior components. Measured specifications are an overall length of 3865 mm, overall width of 1810 mm, vehicle weight of 1030 kg, maximum output of 150 ps at 7000 rpm, and maximum torque of 16.3 kgm at 4800 rpm.
